Clash Detection Services

Add Accuracy as an asset throuch clash detection services

A game-changing value addition, clash detection can help in bringing together the multiple aspects of your as-built project plan, and help you hit the ground running with confidence.

At Global BIM Design, we believe in elevating your plans to the next level, and that starts with the efficient optimization of project resources – time, money and effort. Accurate clash detection helps with all these factor.

What is Calsh Detection?

Clash detection is carried out in the intersection architectural, structural, and MEP planning, and helps with identifying and improving the plan of a residential or commercial structure.

At Global BIM Design, our team of designers create highly realistic models of your project plan and visualize the underlying skeleton to understand clashes in the structure and how to resolve them. This is then documented as a conflict identification report or BCF file, which will help further analyze the clashes within the project plan.

Clash detection addresses the objectives and concerns engineers, architects, designers, contractors from a singular perspective of improving constructability and operational efficiency.

Types of Clashes

Hard Clashes

Hard clashes are defined when two different objects intersect or occupy a given space. These clashes are extremely expensive to overlook, and affect resource allocation and planning during the construction phase. Our team of experts use cutting edge modeling software to identify hard clashes geometrically and resolve them.

Soft Clashes

These are potential clashes that occur between two components that affect each other’s geometric or spatial tolerance. Soft clashes are mainly reviewed in view of building codes and safety standards, by identifying components across disciplines. This makes the project space safer in terms of insulation, access and maintenance.

Workflow Clashes

Also known as 4D clashes, workflow clashes are process and scheduling issues that are identified during fabrication, delivery and installation of multiple components during the project timeline.

How It Helps

Optimize and Lower Construction Costs

Clash detection helps avoid costly errors and price overruns, and reduces iterations.

Improve Safety Standard Adherence

Soft clash detection is important to keep the project in line with prevailing codes and standards.

Channel Clear, Concise Communication

Clash detection brings stakeholders together, reduces field conflicts and increases productivity.

Minimize and Check Human Errors

Detection reduces expensive and inevitable human errors in large scale and critical projects.
